ZOO DATE x Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee!

Its the fourth of the month again, so Sheryl and I decided to spend the day with each other at the zoo. It's been long since I've been to the zoo that nothing looked familiar in there. I don't even remember if I've been there before when I was young or not. (No childhood...)

Woke up early today, got ready and got some chips and fruit juices for us while Sheryl made sandwiches. We had the car again today! Which made everything so much more convenient.

Got to the zoo at about 12 and weather was perfect. Not too sunny but all that walking and humidity made us perspire a hell lot.

Saw a group of otters swimming playfully by this pond. Both of us couldn't stop squealing at how cute they were hehehe.

Cutie doing a somersault!

And the cutest thing is, they sleep together. AWWW :-*

 White tigers!

Just a tip when you head to the zoo, dress as little and as comfortable as possible. There will be a lot of walking and trekking so it's good to bring a big bottle of water. Also, food and beverage is expensive there, so its good to pack some from home!

My living nightmare - FISHES :'(

 Hey whatchu starin' at?

Baboons with their big red butts.
They sure don't smell pleasant...

And I finally got to see the polar bear!!

Aww, I want a hug from the big bear :(

We caught the animal presentation show at 2.30pm!
Saw otters, snakes, parrots, ducklings, monkies, and more!! Lots of primary school kids around us during the show though. And the zookeepers on stage only asked kids to go up to touch the snake :( I would have went...

 On z tram! :)

Rhinos are weirdly shaped. I was very intrigued.

 Deers with white stripes.
Looks like they've a string coiled around their bodies.

Just as I thought they were the only ones...
So many deers in the shade!

Zebras are weird, but pretty.

 Giraffes look soooo amazing.

#SELFIE!

TOOO. MANY. RODENTS. (Naked mole rats)

After 4 hours of exploring the zoo, we were exhausted.
Wanted to catch the elephant show and the sealions but we couldn't wait till 5pm.

Left the zoo and drove over to Macpherson for some Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee!

Everything was sold out except for the original one and fishball soup. So we didn't have much to choose from.

At first I didn't understand what the new hype was about. I've had dry ban mian with joy and rach since first year of poly and this look just like the normal dry ban mee. But it is without the dark sauce and the flavours are from the minced meat and the dried chilli. It was good and the fish ball soup was good too. Super bouncy fishballs <3

This wraps up our day!

I do have mixed feelings about the idea of keeping animals in the zoo.
Its restricting their freedom to move around, be kept away from their natural habitat for human entertainment. It's sad when you think of it this way.

But, I'm sure they are in good hands :)

Had a really great day with the bubz, I always do. :)
Thanks for bringing me around today. You the best.

xx,
- A
