Anyway the end of July was dedicated to celebrate Sheryl's 20th birthday as well as busy planning for the Istana Arts Event and the Open House held by the National Museum. Almost every week, we were at Dhoby Ghaut, just to meet up with the museum staff or watch a movie and chill after. Dhoby was my home ground for the past 3 weeks. I am so not going back there anytime soon.

Spuds and Aprons – Mt. Faber Peak
Brought Sheryl out for dinner on this day at Mt. Faber. She brought me to a really nice place for dinner for my birthday so it was my turn :) Initially I wanted to bring her to The Jewel Box for a fine dining dinner, but when we got there, we found out that they changed to a more casual dining restaurant. But we decided to try it out anyway. The view and ambience was great, but the only problem I had that night was going to the loo 3 times that night.
That was because I had constipated for a week and I thought prune juice would help. I bought a bottle to try, drank half of it, and my constipation problem was gone! Instead of stopping there, I drank more cuz I liked the taste of prune juice, I had constipation no more, but I didn't know diarrhoea was coming my way.
Stomach started bubbling, I kept farting and I started pooping more than I should in a single day. Now, I have a phobia of prune juice. ITS EVIL PEOPLE DONT DRINK IT. Or just don't drink the whole bottle...
Laurent Bernard Chocolatier
After dinner, Sheryl drove to Roberson Quay for dessert! Apparently they're known for their soufflés and we've never tried it before, so we were pretty excited. I've always wanted to try soufflés cuz of Masterchef. Gorden Ramsay always emphasises on how it's so difficult to make and it distinguishes a good pastry chef from a bad by making this dessert.
Each soufflé take 30 mins to bake so we ordered tea and a lemon tart while waiting.
I love how sour and tangy the lemon curd was, but Sheryl thought it was too sour. The souffle, however, was not really to my liking. Its too bitter and tasteless for me. Maybe its to complement the vanilla ice cream and sauce...

Henderson Waves Bridge
Sheryl's actual birthday today! Rach suggested to have a picnic at Henderson Bridge but Tyn couldn't come with us cuz she was in Japan. (she cried while watching my snaps cuz she missed us) I always wondered what that bridge was whenever I pass by there to go to Vivo, so now I know. The view and ambience was great, defo a great place for couples to hanky panky. ;)
Rach prepared beehoon and curry for us and bought sushi! Didn't have time to prepare any food cuz I had school ):

Supply and Demand – Somerset 313
Today was Sheryl's surprise birthday dinner. It was a failed surprise tho, found out that her classmate leaked to her that we planned this for her :(
Food here was pretty good as well, had a good time catching up with Rajali cuz she sat next to me at the table :)

Orchard Country Club
Last celebration for Sheryl's birthday! Three of us booked a room for her at OCC. We reckoned she would want a mini relaxation/getaway from her usual habitat cuz of internship. It was all well-worth it from her face when we brought her to the place.
We finally filmed another video at yet another hotel room as well. This time round, it was the Youtube Whisper Challenge. Out of all the videos we've filmed together, this was the most fun to film out of all. :)
______________________________________________________
Its halfway through August now, I can't believe how much has changed during the past few months and lots more to change from now on as well. Am never a fan of changes but I guess the time has come. Taking it one day at a time to get used to life. Tyn has only 2 more weekends left in Singapore and exams are in a weeks' time, I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but I'll try my best to spend time with her whenever I can. This is actually the last few pictures I will post in this blog with the 4 of us. Treasuring every second together we have left.
Bittersweet feeling for September's arrival...
xx,
A
