Sheryl's 20th x SCHOOL'S OUT!

Last Friday was the last day of school for the semester! Study week, exams, holidays for a week before internship starts. Really can't wait to start internship though. Mixed reviews from everyone that hears about the company I'll be working in. I just hope I don't get into trouble for my job scope from the school...

Anyway the end of July was dedicated to celebrate Sheryl's 20th birthday as well as busy planning for the Istana Arts Event and the Open House held by the National Museum. Almost every week, we were at Dhoby Ghaut, just to meet up with the museum staff or watch a movie and chill after. Dhoby was my home ground for the past 3 weeks. I am so not going back there anytime soon.

Spuds and Aprons – Mt. Faber Peak

Brought Sheryl out for dinner on this day at Mt. Faber. She brought me to a really nice place for dinner for my birthday so it was my turn :) Initially I wanted to bring her to The Jewel Box for a fine dining dinner, but when we got there, we found out that they changed to a more casual dining restaurant. But we decided to try it out anyway. The view and ambience was great, but the only problem I had that night was going to the loo 3 times that night.

That was because I had constipated for a week and I thought prune juice would help. I bought a bottle to try, drank half of it, and my constipation problem was gone! Instead of stopping there, I drank more cuz I liked the taste of prune juice, I had constipation no more, but I didn't know diarrhoea was coming my way.

Stomach started bubbling, I kept farting and I started pooping more than I should in a single day. Now, I have a phobia of prune juice. ITS EVIL PEOPLE DONT DRINK IT. Or just don't drink the whole bottle...

Laurent Bernard Chocolatier

After dinner, Sheryl drove to Roberson Quay for dessert! Apparently they're known for their soufflés and we've never tried it before, so we were pretty excited. I've always wanted to try soufflés cuz of Masterchef. Gorden Ramsay always emphasises on how it's so difficult to make and it distinguishes a good pastry chef from a bad by making this dessert.

Each soufflé take 30 mins to bake so we ordered tea and a lemon tart while waiting.

I love how sour and tangy the lemon curd was, but Sheryl thought it was too sour. The souffle, however, was not really to my liking. Its too bitter and tasteless for me. Maybe its to complement the vanilla ice cream and sauce...

Henderson Waves Bridge

Sheryl's actual birthday today! Rach suggested to have a picnic at Henderson Bridge but Tyn couldn't come with us cuz she was in Japan. (she cried while watching my snaps cuz she missed us) I always wondered what that bridge was whenever I pass by there to go to Vivo, so now I know. The view and ambience was great, defo a great place for couples to hanky panky. ;)

Rach prepared beehoon and curry for us and bought sushi! Didn't have time to prepare any food cuz I had school ):

26 July 2014, Saturday
Supply and Demand – Somerset 313

Today was Sheryl's surprise birthday dinner. It was a failed surprise tho, found out that her classmate leaked to her that we planned this for her :(

Food here was pretty good as well, had a good time catching up with Rajali cuz she sat next to me at the table :)

27 July 2014, Sunday
Orchard Country Club

Last celebration for Sheryl's birthday! Three of us booked a room for her at OCC. We reckoned she would want a mini relaxation/getaway from her usual habitat cuz of internship. It was all well-worth it from her face when we brought her to the place.

We finally filmed another video at yet another hotel room as well. This time round, it was the Youtube Whisper Challenge. Out of all the videos we've filmed together, this was the most fun to film out of all. :)

______________________________________________________

Its halfway through August now, I can't believe how much has changed during the past few months and lots more to change from now on as well. Am never a fan of changes but I guess the time has come. Taking it one day at a time to get used to life. Tyn has only 2 more weekends left in Singapore and exams are in a weeks' time, I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but I'll try my best to spend time with her whenever I can. This is actually the last few pictures I will post in this blog with the 4 of us. Treasuring every second together we have left.

Bittersweet feeling for September's arrival...

20TH BIRTHDAY x SUNDAY FOLKS

Been so busy lately (with school and watching friends) that I don't have time to blog :( Thought I should quickly blog about July before it ends.

GET READY FOR A SPAM OF IMAGES. And words.

4 July, Thursday
Privé Grill - 2 Keppel Bay Vista

Date night with Sheryl on this day! It was our monthsary cum pre-birthday dinner and she brought me out for some steak at one of my favourite places - Privé! View and ambience was great, so was the steak.

 Roasted Barramundi Fillet

Truffle Fries

NZ Grass-Fed Ribeye

After dinner, we just chilled in the pondok at the nearby park. Thanks for dinner bubz, I had a lovely night. :)

5 July, Saturday
Sentosa - Tanjong Beach Club

A week before this day, I asked my friends if I'll be busy on this day. They just smiled and said I'm crazy and delusional. Also, I asked if I need a wax before Saturday in case I need to wear my bikini. They also smiled and said I was crazy.

I kinda knew what my friends had planned for me for my birthday as I crept up on Sheryl and Rach while they were texting. I saw Tyn suggesting TBC in the groupchat and I exclaimed, "TBC FOR MY BIRTHDAY?!" HAHAHA and they were so pissed.

Anyways, I was right and before I know it, Saturday came and Sheryl, Rach, Tyn, and Jo came to pick me up to Sentosa :)

They booked 2 day beds for me and we just chilled with some drinks and truffle fries.
 New mane!! Yay or nay?

They got me a pretty wedding dress balloon!! HAHAHA.
 PUI FRENS

Kerr gave me the sticker HAHAHA

Doing what colleagues would do - Taking pics with drinks in hand

In need of a new smile.

MT, Janelle, Josh and Kerr came by shortly after and we played Beer Pong!

Red from just a cup of Tanjong Fly :(

 Beer Pong!

Rach and her fav breed :)

And it soon got darker :(

Dinner time by TBC!!! Everything was soooo goood.

Silly friends brought sparklers to play with. We attracted so much attention that some caucasians came up to us to ask for a few sticks.

AND I HAD FIREWORKS FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
lol kidding, there was an event next to us called Diner En Blanc - where its an atas picnic at a secret location and everyone has to wear white - And they had fireworks.

But yay me, fireworks at my party! So pretty.

Hehe it was a nice change from all the house parties we had for Rach's and Tyn's birthday. They were all so afraid that I was disappointed with the plans but tbh, I really appreciated what they had planned. I don't need no fancy party, and I didn't want them to spend so much... Although they did :(

I love you guys, I really enjoyed myself and I hope you guys too. *Inserts super big smiley*

8th July, Tuesday
Spent my actual birthday in school with my classmates. Went for lunch after class at Tampines Mall and apparently the cake was kept in Reub's bag. After we finished our food, Reubs asked in the subtlest way possible, "Should I take it out now??". Then Joy whispered to Simran and Simran whispered to Reubs. After a good whole minute of me pretending not to give a fuck about whats gg on between them, Reubs whipped out the cake from his bag. HAHAHA.

They sang me a birthday song in the middle of Kopitiam (Actually just Simran), and it was quite embarrassing. Yt also made me a really sweet card. :)

I've the sweetest classmates ever.

After school, met STAR for dinner at this place really cheap steak place next to Hilton Hotel (I forgot the restaurant name :/)

We all ordered the Garlic Steak and it tasted really really good (UNNNFFF FREID GARLIC). But the steak fillet itself was a little mushy, like they've kept it frozen for a really long time. So it wasn't fresh :(

Saw this retarded sign... Thanks for the great advice, you don't say.

9th July, Wednesday
Arbite, 66 Serangoon Garden Way

We didn't have class on Wednesday so the GURLI3S finally met up!! It was more than a month or two that Joy and I have caught up with RNeo, so it was a really good day. It was kinda a birthday celebration between the three of us for Rach and I as our birthday is just a day apart. :)
Joy was the sweetest, we got a slice of cake for each of us. (We made her spend so much for the month of July :( )

Heehee missed this bitch so fucking much. I love you bb, Happy Birthday once again.
And thanks for the gift vouchers guys :-*

Sunday Folks, Chip Bee Gardens

After catching up with them, I went over to Holland V for the soft opening of Creamier's new shop - Sunday Folks! Everything in the shop was free for current and ex-staff (like me!) for us to try!
Everything here is made by them!

Sunday Folks is definitely a different concept from Creamier, which was such a smart move. If you want artisan handcrafted ice cream, go down to Toa Payoh. If you want soft serve, head down to Holland V! They still serve the same flavours of ice cream but just a different texture.

 Chocolate flavour

Summer Strawberries, with lemon cheesecake and fresh strawbies toppings

Each cone is painstakingly and lovingly made, and they taste sooooo goood with the ice cream. I dont like cones that are too sweet. Moreover this was made with charcoal so it has a really unique taste to it, which complimented the ice cream really well.

Each flavour has its own toppings concoction to go with the ice cream. So so good.

Roasted Pistachio, with roasted pistachios topping!
(excuse my bone in my wrist...)
Seasalt Gula Melaka, with mochi & peanut powder toppings!

Ordered whatever they had in the counter as well. HAHAHA. Everything, was too good.

They still do have their signature Belgium waffles, but served with Soft Serve ice cream and toppings!

The interior design of it is also amazing. Super chill and classy, which fits the scene in Holland V.

I'm just so happy for the bosses of Creamier :') This new shop is definitely gonna be packed for a really long time.

Okay, finally caught up with my blog about my July. :)
